In this article we present to you, the list of senior high schools in the Greater Accra region, showing their categories and location (district or landmark) in Ghana based on the GES 2020 update schools register.
Senior High Schools in each region are grouped into categories A, B, C, D, E, F, and G.
Public or government SHS falls within Categories A, B, C, D, and E, whereas categories F and G represent Private Senior High Schools and Private Technical/ Vocational Institutions, respectively.

GES Updates for 2020 SHS Categories
- All Technical & Vocational Institutions have been categorized into A, B, and C and added to SHS/ SHTS
- This means that pure Technical/ Vocational Institutions are now categorized the same as the usual Senior High Schools and Senior High Technical Schools
Note:
- Pure Technical and Vocational Institutions remains as they are, and not the same as Senior High Technical Schools
